Hello Friends

After some deep and profound experiences and healing during 2014, I felt called into a re-activation of my healing practice. I have re-bundled my healing skills, tools from the past plus some newly acquired ones and put them into a Menu of Modalities. I have been in beta-mode since August 2014, offering my services to friends and refining my approach, combining energy and body work as integrative support to inner work and spiritual psychotherapy. Turning the calender to 2015, I am now opening my services and intuitive skills to a wider public.

Interview on Liquid Lunch about my latest book:

Congratulations to R. Murray Schafer for being made a Companion of the Order of Canada  (the highest rank). This is actually the third time Murray has been offered this prestigious honour. The first two times he refused for political and personal reasons. The first time he was offered the Member rank, then Officer, so holding out for a third time actually garnered him the highest, a Companion. He deserves this because he is truly a Canadian treasure who has pioneered so many interesting things in the realms of art and science, and given us many unique cultural offerings. The bestowing of this honour coincides nicely with his 80th birthday.

And congratulations to Murray’s wife, Eleanor James – also a national treasure as an international opera singer. Eleanor completed her Master of Divinity degree at the University of Toronto and is now enjoying pastoral work.

Finally — congratulations to me for completing my book about “Murray and me.”  I received copies 2 days before the big birthday presentation and concert in his honour at Stratford, July 18, 2013  (also decreed as World Listening Day in Murray’s honour).

Jesse and the Field Wizards is a collective of talented musicians who perform together, not so much to entertain, but to work with the beauty and power of sound and vibration. Sometimes melodic, sometimes chaotic, they work with all the elements of tone and rhythm to create soundscapes to touch, move and heal on multiple levels. At the centre of the Field Wizards is Jesse’s large array of quartz-crystal singing bowls. Around their magic is woven tapestries of sounds involving a variety of instruments.

Book Launch and Concert:  Friday, Nov. 15, 8pm at Toronto Arts and Letters Club

Yes friends, the book is finally finished and it’s time to party. The launch will also be a time to honour its subject matter, R. Murray Schafer, one of Canada’s greatest artists, activists, renegades, as he marks his 80 year milestone. This wine and cheese occasion will include a concert by Jesse and the Field Wizards with crystal singing bowls at the centre and assorted instrumentalists on the side. There will be a book signing and talk, including information about Morgellons and how Murray Schafer’s soundwork helped in the recovery.

Please join me on this celebratory occasion in The Grand Hall of the auspicious old Toronto Arts and Letters Club
14 Elm St. between Yonge and Bay (parking on street and nearby lots)  http://goo.gl/maps/EHblX

Concert: $20 (or pwyc)
Concert and signed book: $35 (or pwyc)
Why Buy the Book?

This book reads like an all-Canadian adventure story. It’s not an academic book but does cover a wide range of interesting and important topics, woven in with my adventures of shadowing R. Murray Schafer – one of Canada’s most prolific cultural movers and shakers. The book also includes my personal battle with Morgellons, a new humanly-engineered blight on the planet that is a risk to us all. If for no other reason, buy the book to learn about this, then give the book to someone else as an all-Canadian gift.

Why Attend the Book-Launch/Concert?

During this evening I will be sharing some of my personal stories and adventures, embellished with music from Jesse and the Field Wizards. The “live” feel is intended to make you feel inspired and alive.

Jesse G. L. Stewart has assembled a powerful set of tuned crystal singing bowls and other sound-making devices for performance and sound healing. He combines his energetic sensitivity with his abilities as percussionist to create moving soundscapes.

Stavros Stavropoulos is an eclectic multi-instrumentalist with a penchant for world music, whose love of melody is felt in playing.

April Lavine is passionate about celebrating life through making joyful sounds and loves to sing whenever the occasion arises.

Ruth Finlay www.SingYourSoulSongWorkshop.com has had a lifetime of making spiritual music as a singer, songwriter, music teacher, voice workshop facilitator and recording artist. She brings her voice, flute and percussion ability.

As Field Wizards they create unique sounds to feed the vibrational field of the world.
